Here at award-winning steakhouse, Miller & Carter, we’ve heard it all. We might be famous for our succulent steaks, but we’re more than Masters of Steak – we’re also masters of creating an experience that’s carefully considered and perfectly precise from start to finish. The lettuce wedge is said to have been a popular inclusion at steakhouses in the 1950s, where lettuce wedges were traditionally served before your meal as a palate cleanser. At this time they were served plain, with no dressings at all.

Then, in the ‘70s, they truly rose to fame as steakhouses began serving lettuce wedge salads, giving diners a little more flavour to fawn over.

Nowadays, the Miller & Carter wedge does things its own way, elevating our indulgent dining experience…

Contrary to popular belief, our iceberg wedge is not a palate cleanser. It’s a refreshing accompaniment that is meant to complement the rich flavours of our steak with its cold, crisp texture and fresh taste.

Not only that, but iceberg lettuce has been shown to support digestion, helping your body to break down heavy carbohydrates and proteins. In simple terms, it sounds like you may have room for dessert after your steak, right?

While we love being inspired by the lettuce wedges of tradition, we just had to add our own Miller & Carter twist, pouring dressings over your wedge for an appetiser that’s simply a little more tempting.
